timing
timing
hi
the other day i was riding along, when i decided to test myself 0 - 60 mph, the only problem was that the speed is in kmh and counting in my head was inaccurate, i timed until the needle on the speedo was between 50mph and 70mph, but no 60mph, also, i got 7 secs which im not sure of, are there any instruments you can buy or make which time your 0 - 60 mph?
thanks a lot.

On the road the other day it did an indicated 150kmh - about 92 ish - well OK the speedo was somewhere between 10 and 200.Lol.
That still sounds way to high compared to your speed on 13/46 though. My speedo must be worse than i thought !
Mines comes up off the throttle in the first three gears pretty easy with no clutch abuse.May upgear a smidgeon as yet,Will see how i go.
Trailmax tyres good then Phil ?

Jeez - there pretty road based.Theres a good variety of rubber available though isn there from mostly road to extreme off-road.
Like u say - they look really close to a pukka road tyre without the need for more wheels. How much are they a pair ? AND - exactly how bad are they off-road ? You got them fited at the moment - bet they look prety pukka on the bike dont they ? How soft are they ?

I do very very light laning (untarmac'd pot holes etc and grassy lanes nothing serious) at walking speed with them 8)
they are fun, and will replace them with the same when i kill them, i think they killed my 13t front sprocket (badly hooked) due to gripping so well on the road.
they were on when I had the bike (fresh import) and have seen a coupla thousand kms with slight treadwear.
think they are about £120 a pair.

Sorry for all the questions - im just keen to learn all i can. Thanks for the help and info.Got brand new enduros fitted at the moment with a nice round profile - so i guess pretty road based also. The trailmax do look nice though.I guess i use mine and intend to use it for the same sort of duties as you,so maybe when im due for some rubber i'll give a set a go.
