After about 2 years and a complete strip down my CRM is back together (ish) and have been trying to get a spark today with no luck, i've cleaned all the electrical connections whilst the bike was in bits and remade a few dodgy ones. I'm kind of at a loss electrically so any help is much appreciated. oh and the plug, plug cap and ht lead were all replaced.

have you got a good earth?

-the green (earth) wire under the tank that conencts to the frame, isit tensioned up properly, and does it contact the metal (not powdercoat)?

if not earthed properly, you might have enough of an earth to turn the ignition on, but not enough to create a spark

She's all running now but with a leaky carb so will have it off this afternoon and strip it down, I suspect it's a sticky float needle or something so will report back dreckly:)
Thanks for your help everyone it seems that it was the earth cable not properly earthing
