my bike is leaking from the left hand side of the engine, i figure it must be the drive seal or the seal which is on the gear leaver, are these easy to replace?

also gear changes aren't the easyest, seems I have to force them in rather than a gear just sliping into gear, does my clutch need replacing, i have adjusted it and it makes no difference.

Yep leaking seal. Easy to replace. get a pair of new seals, one for the kickstart if leaking and one for the gear lever, simply prize out with a screwdriver or insert a small self tapper screw and pull out. grease the new ones and drift home with a suitable socket. 10 mins tops

Hi Martin,

As well as having difficulty swapping cogs, does the clutch drag ?

If so, it is almost certainly notches worn into the clutch basket, take off the r/h engine cover, remove the basket and draw file them off.

Cheers,

Roger.
