LED rear lights

Post by Simonypvs » 25 Aug 2012, 15:29

I am planning on removing the rear mudguard and replacing it with an after market item I have got from Japan. Whilst I have the back end in bits I am also replacing the indicators with KTM units that I have in the back of the garage which is simple enough.

I have got a rear brake light unit which has LED's in it. It is my understanding that LED's use less power than a standard bulb and I need to put/splice something into the wiring loom so they will work correctly.

Anyone got any ideas??

Cheers

Simon

Afaik it's usually a resistor for the indicators as they flash too quickly, my rear unit has been replaced and the tail / brake light works spot on without anything added to the wiring!

You can get a straight swap led lamp, does both functions, about £5, I have one in the TTR.
