Is there a crack on the piece that the cylinder headbrace goes on - round the weld

.
You obviously need to examine the rest of the frame.

Cracking caused by engine vibration (high frequency). No problem getting it TIG welded, do not try any other type of welding on the frame.
I have an AR frame in white With log book that you could have for £50 if you need one, needs a small weld at sidestand mount just like every one I have bought.

I'll keep that as the reserve option. Hopefully the Mk3 can live another day to get the nuts thrashed off it and beat some more orange stuff

The crack is on the other side as well. I'm not holding out much hope but Helisup will let me have an AR frame so all is not lost. As Helisup says, high frequency vibration probably from no balance shaft and lots and lots of thrashing the wotsits off it.

I'll have the frame and plastics off you. Where abouts are you in the country?

I have had several welded so far, the frames are fairly thin walled and TIG is the most delicate way without blowing holes in it or making a mess.
Amazing how many people want the frame for £50, its only available to mudfacetony due to his cracked frame, or it stays in the shed.
Sorry but its collection only...........

Rebuild on the way!
Thanks Helisup for the help.
I might even post some pics when it is done. It won't be to the no1 standard of Helisup or Knack'd as it will be for thrashing the wotsits off it at rallys but it should be a tidy bike - and some one off D&D graphics!

so just need a delicate hand...I would gas weld it and not risk arc for sure, small reinforcement over it and away you go! (but thats cos I can't TIG)

The only gas that you could use is for brazing.

Repiared
Now for getting it powder coated, the purists won't like it though
