Quick Action push/pull throttle
What are people's thoughts on these:

Not even sure if they're for off-road bikes, or could be adapted? One thing with the CRM compared to modern machines is that the throttle tube has lots of movement, and it lacks instant 'off the throttle' power, particularly when compare to my mates Gas Gas!! I also find I'm often on the road at 3/4 throttle and still have room to pull back, but it's almost uncomfortable without releasing the grip and grabbing it again, if that makes sense.
Cheers.

Re: Quick Action push/pull throttle
The AR carb has too large a pulley that's why its so slow. Smaller pulley = faster action.

Re: Quick Action push/pull throttle
Isn't it - larger pulley faster action
. Which part are you refering to as 'pulley'
I have a CR throttle that has a faster action on my Mk1 - the diameter of the throttle tube on which the cable lies (I call this the pulley) is slightly larger than a CRM.
The diameter of the wheel that the cable goes round makes no difference to the amount of cable the throttle tube pulls. It just rotates faster or slower depending on its diameter (smaller = faster).

Re: Quick Action push/pull throttle
OK I see what you mean on the carb but AR is talking about the throttle body.
