HEL brake lines

Has anyone had a rear brake line from HEL and found it to be a bit too long?

I got one from my Mk2 a few years ago and it was a bit too long so I loop it up and have to use a tie wrap to keep it from the DEP exhaust. I've just bought another rear line for my mk3 and it is just the same.

Is it possible the size the have is for a Mk1? Somehow I think not unless FMTB ot Kn'd can advise otherwise.

No the Mk1 has the same length, just a different fitting. I have HEL lines as well and they are too long (but I gave the front length so I can't complain  ).

I'll offer them my rear line to them.

The HEL hoses are 100mm too long for the back brake.

Just ask them for lines 100mm shorter.

I know as have had 4 sets made, 1st set arrived too long, order them shorter by 100mm.

You will have problems if you use the longer hose.
