Would like to remove my power valve for cleaning up and inspection, as its removed when its re bored to have material taken off as far as I'm aware.
Looking at the diagram of it, it only appears to be held in by the clip and bolt under the cover? And once removed you should be able to pull the shaft out and the power valve can be removed? On a Mk2.
Mines not budging so just checking i haven't missed anything?

Once you remove the bolt holding the retaining clip it should just pull out.

Cheers for that, was hesitant if it was suitable for a little bit of force.
Had to make up a slide hammer for it and even that didn't work, meaning a few gentle taps of the hammer broke the build up of carbon to allow it to remove.
Its out now:

The PV needs to be in when the cylinder is rebored as it needs to be cut away or it will hit the new piston.

Fishtail,
Looking at the bore of your bike, it looks like they dremmeled the rebore as well, or maybe it was filed oversize by hand on Reclamation Street.

funny you mention gangnam style mike - cos when ever I think of you I sort of visualize mike from spaced, you know ? the weapons expert? always got a gun in his pocket?
but he does do a few dances now you mention it...

- mike is 20 sec in - actually I was searching for the episode where he does aerobics but didnt find it - that would have been soooooooooo much more suitable
