CRM250 AR, all choked up

Post by GrahamB » 09 Dec 2013, 21:07

Hi,
looking for some insight into a problem with MY CRM 250AR. I can go for a spin and the bike runs as crisp as new. However, without warning the power goes and it feels as thought the bike is choked up and it has lost all its power. Turn off the ignition and then back on and start the bike and it's as crisp and back to full power again.
it seems as though I am resetting (rebooting) the bike, this happens 98% of the rides I go on and can happen a couple of times during the ride out. can anybody point me in the right direction in solving the problem.
Thanks.

Your ECU has broken. Classic symptoms.

You can either buy a new one for ~£460 or talk to one of the ECU repairers about the possibility of getting it sorted. See - viewtopic.php?f=20&t=5263 .

Whilst you are considering this you need to work out why the ECU failed. Again covered in the FAQs ........................
