CRM AR Ignitech powervalve 3D Map
Anyone using the Ignitech controller on an AR?
Do you have a working 3D map I could have?
Just ordered the STPS programmable powervalve controller which will need to be setup.

Its not that bad just a throttle position vs revs table.
I can guess the values against the 3D graph in the book and tweak but if somone has a map already it would be most helpful.

Doesn't ignition timing come into it? And if you are wanting to keep the AR system then relevant PV position?

The STPS only controls the PV by way of TP and RPM.

The AR as far as I know uses:
RPM
Gear position
Throttle position
Ignition advance
Sounds like it may be a compromise on an AR.

Helisupp is correct but I think the gear selector is about noise and a bit of traction control in first and second. The AR system will definitely not work.

Re: CRM AR Ignitech powervalve 3D Map
Based on the below text and 3D map the ARC valve is controlled only by RPM and TP.
I am going to try and replicate based on the rules stated.
the only part I can see being a problem is the transition upon putting into gear and making the valve open fully on hitting the kill switch. worse case scenario is that the bike will run on AR out of gear and continue running on AR combustion after hitting the kill switch but we will see.
It would help greatly if someone filmed their ARC valve when reving the engine in gear with a small throttle opening below 20% so I can see the valve closed position relative to the idle position.
I do have a spare barrel with ARC valve complete so I can measure the exact "55mm and above" I guess and make a template that sits behind the control arm for setting up.

Re: CRM AR Ignitech powervalve 3D Map
I Admire your pluck but for example - what scales are we looking at on the graph? 0-???? rpm. The PV is certainly open well before 'max' rpm when I was running my bike. The graphs are just an illustration, they do not show the actual settings, just the theory.
I think you might get the engine working to an approximation as a non-active radical 2 stroke but not for the AR system to work without a heap more information.
My thoughts ............ but I would be very pleased if you prove me wrong.

either way its going to be better than no PV
