Coolant where it shouldn't be

I've measured the bearing on the clutch side. Its 17x47x12, in the FAQ its says, 17x37x12, I assume this is a typo. Ive taken the bearing out to have a look. When it is fitted to the shaft and the nut fully tighten down with the washer in place, the bearing measures about 1.2mm too narrow. This is allowing the shaft to move. Has anyone got any ideas about this. The bike is a mk3 but the shaft came ouf of a mk2, i think.
