here we go again. Like an episode of Eastenders init.
Bloke who wouldn't sell me a piston (http://www.motoxmatrix.co.uk/) turned out to be a proper tool!
his last message said
"Sorry I am not willing to it will definitely not fit. If you phone leisure trail the specialist people for CRM's they will tell you it is a different part number and they may be able to supply you with the correct one. I am not trying to be funny but it will be a waste of both of times and I then cannot confidently resell the piston as brand new once it has been attempted to be fitted and I will lose money. Their number is 0115 973 2466 would you not rather get the correct one for your model? Thanks"

So I phone Leisure Trail and speak to Tom (top bloke) who knows everything about the CRM and he said it will fit for sure as long as it is for a CRM and is 66.33mm part number 8071D040. Brilliant I think, I will give the bloke at motoxmatrix a call to tell him my findings. I tried to explain I had talked to Tom and he said it will fit but the guy starts waffling that he has been on the phone to LT for 45 mins and they checked all of their stock and its the wrong part number so will not fit. He said its got an 18mm pin (I said yes) so it wont fit?!?!. At this point I told him to fuck off (shouldn't have but wife just had an accident on the motorway and I was sorting the kids to go rescue her) and hung up the phone.

Why should I have to argue with some knob to try and spend £100 of my hard earned?

Now trying to get a piston off of OffRoadOnly but they show trade only on their main site but they did give me a price a few days ago so fingers crossed. If not LT can order from ORO for me or I can get from UK Wossner site.

Same little end bearing as original if you are using a CRM piston.

More info but not what you directly asked for. - viewtopic.php?f=20&t=5267

Are you testing compression with a cold or warm engine? I tested my mk3 cold last night and it came out as 145psi, is that acceptable or will it need a top end rebuild soon?

I'm not coming unfortunately as the missus has just had a little one. Should be at Snetterton on some form of motorcycle or other though!
