Should have been -

Is that Man flew - as in 'Man's first unpowered flight'
Man flue - as in 'The use of a Man as a chimney'
Or Man flu - as in 'Man in bed with a high temperature'?

Couldn't edit it in time..................

Not so funny now

Had a good ride out today Steve.
I never fell off for a change but I did ride like a big girl down some ice covered rock steps and one of the barstewards with me videoed it
It was very cold when we set off and on much of the route the ice did not clear. The back roads were worse than the untarmaced roads.
Heres a photo of a rut after a 4x4 had gone through. Yes they are chunks of ice :!:

or man flew off on a patch of ice and ends up sore and bruised with a mk2 revving its conkers off on top of him!
of course this has never happened to me!

glad you had a more successfull day than me then ed  .the novelty of riding on ice is quickly wearing off.
had my motor apart yesterday, not sure whats gone through it as the rings look complete if not a little battered but the piston crown and cylinder head look like they've been blasted at close range with a 12 bore  .the barrel has some light scoring, but the piston skirt is shafted
the spare motor is in and just needs the zorst attatching, vital fluids filling and then set her up ready for fridays run with the tm lot then a planned return to chirk on sunday.hope this motor lasts a while otherwise i'll be sticking the cr500 motor in next

did the t.m xmas run yesterday on the newly refurbished mk2,had a few probs with the carb flooding but was able to cure it 'in the field' :D and my rear lighting circuit got chopped through on the rear subby so had to cut the day short before it got dark  but other than that she's spot on.
got back last night and sorted the light prob and got it prepped for the second attempt at the n/wales run tommorow :D

you know what, after seeing there are more and more people around northwales and cheshire, i am kind of tempted to buy another CRM to join you all on, and re light the passion for the site.
however saying that, i need to replace the valves on the RC30 and the 600rr is in need of its first major service. Hmmmmm :(

Have a look at this link to see all the fun you are missing;

I have just done my hardest ride yet. It had uphill bogs  but as usual if someone is daft enough there is a way.
I also found that the bike will run on with the ignition off if you get it hot enough :D

I know this may sound daft but i miss the smell of castrol R , cow poo and wet clothes drying on a rad or by the fire,
Today it is 27 degrees and it has not rained since January 2007, the majority of bikes here are 4 bangers or even worsethey are harley davidson's.
The desert is 'the desert' and it all looks the same (plays havoc with your bearings and your boll*x) i miss muddy lanes, and the beautifull scenery which only the U.K can offer.
Keep all the excellent pictures and reports coming and if the slow boat from japan arrives with m AR i will send you some back.
Happy Christmas to all at CRM250.com and a prosperous new year

one of those pics looks like the route from - hmm hard to describe but bear with me,
there is a route over to llanarman from between llanrhydd to graigfechan. coming into ruthin from mold, turn left after the anchor for graigfechan, follow the road and it breaks away left after a couple of mile which leads to a path which goes all the way over the top to llanarman and near a river crossing (see the homepage pic of my ass on the AR)

I know the lane and the ford that you are describing and I can see that you are definitely getting interested.
As Mickstoy says, this weather is no good for road bikes, you really wouldn't want all that salt getting on them.
Come on you know it make sense
