Rough running
Rough running
Morning all.
My crm is running rough at small throttle openings and when slowing down (closed throttle) it jerks around and won't maintain a steady speed at small throttle openings.
is it the mixture?
It is absolutly fine under power and idles reasonably well once warmed up, i've only really noticed it when i went back to standard gearing.
I have a new airfilter and plug to go in this weekend so hopefully that should sort it out?

don't start the oil thread again!
10w40 (halfords 2stroke) I think I may have put a bit too much in would that cause problems?
I'm getting a winter car so at least i can think about taking the carb apart and giving the whole bike a strip down clean without having to worry about getting to work the next day!

For some reason it takes a LONG time for the oil that you put in the filler hole to reach the level hole.
When changing the oil on my MK3 I put the bike on a paddock stansd, this is like a milking stool, this supports the bike and keeps it level, the stand has a large hole in the centre and I position the bike with the level hole over that and a bowl underneath, I then put approx 700 ml of oil into gearbox and leave overnight.
This method ensures the correct level of oil is in the gearbox every time.
Regards
Russell.
