gearbox oil breather

ive just tried my new crm and oil is coming from the breather pipe which sits on top of the gearbox just under the carb any help plz. ive checked the oil it has not been overfilled thanks brian

sounds like you have a gasket blowing in the crankcase and it is pressurizing the gearbox. might need a stripdown.

:( Worth a drain down and refill with exact amount of oil first? nothing lost , and might save a shed load of work.

Just to say when you refill. - Fill up to oil level hole and no more.

Mine did the same thing mate, it was proper p***** gases into the gearbox. Just hope the swingarm bolt isnt seized in :P

just found a bolt blocking my breather pipe i have removed it ,checked oil level seems to be overfull i hope i haven't got problems.

Fill/drain up to the level hole and keep an eye on it.

thanks that's the plan i am just hoping previous owners over filled it seen the oil leaking and panicked

Could well be I hope so. Maybe have a think about re routing-lengthening the pipe up to the steering stem or under the seat as they can suck water in when crossing deep water,as mine did raising the oil level.Now its under the seat with a loop half way down with a small slit to let any trapped water out seems to work.

drained and filled to the book keeping a eye on it far to much oil in it before i drained off nearly 800ml got small weep from the casing clutch side thanks for advice
