gearbox oil breather
ive just tried my new crm and oil is coming from the breather pipe which sits on top of the gearbox just under the carb any help plz. ive checked the oil it has not been overfilled thanks brian
Re: gearbox oil breather
sounds like you have a gasket blowing in the crankcase and it is pressurizing the gearbox. might need a stripdown.

Follow FMtB to be sure.
Just to say when you refill. - Fill up to oil level hole and no more.

Fill/drain up to the level hole and keep an eye on it.

Re: gearbox oil breather
thanks that's the plan i am just hoping previous owners over filled it seen the oil leaking and panicked
Re: gearbox oil breather
Could well be I hope so. Maybe have a think about re routing-lengthening the pipe up to the steering stem or under the seat as they can suck water in when crossing deep water,as mine did raising the oil level. Now its under the seat with a loop half way down with a small slit to let any trapped water out seems to work.
