Having been a biker for many years on classic British road stuff (still have a few) i have just got myself a CRM "to get muddy on". I'd be interested to hear from anyone in / around Sheffield to meet up for a bit of green laning or even if anyone could just share any tips or info on trails in S.Yorks / Derbyshire it would be appreciated.

The TRF will have a branch local-ish to you and a fair number of them will be of similar, ahem, matureness, like me
