Hello from rainy somerset

Post by exbrawngp »

Just picked up a MkII, had a quick blast up the road top laugh !! just a quick question, the bike has not been run for a while and owing more than one 2 stroke, what i am used to is the bike hitting a brick wall when it peaks out in revs, but the crm almost seems to stutter a bit then hit the limit? does this sound normal ? or i am i just not used to its ways !! ??

Assuming, and it's a big assumption, but, all other items being in fine fettle and working order, it would sound as though, you have hit the rev limiter ceiling.Too large a main jet,can also give a similar effect, ie it won't rev out cleanly, but so could a whole host of other things.
You may wish to avail your self of a two stroke tuning manual, to really tune the whole system up.
