Not to bad but I work in a push bike shop and build wheels all the time the only problem I had was not having a big enough truing jig to put them in.

Yes there standard hubs I got them off someone on this site for £40 and I brought a set of cr wheels of ebay and stripped them and sold the hubs and discs so the rims and tyres cost £50 and the spokes and nipples were £115,
So just over £200 in total but I need to get another sprocket and set of disc so I can swap the wheels over quickly when I wanna go off road.

Re: Built my supermoto wheels
Thank you!
Still around £550 new even if you build them off your own hubs then.
I worked it like this :
New rims (excel) = £400
Tyres New = £130
Sprocket = £17
Extra:
Discs = £100
Spokes = £115
There is a shop on ebay at the moment doing them for £450, but they look rubbish and for the money you still might end up with new bearings to suite the shaft, discs to fit and decent tyres when you can afford them

Re: Built my supermoto wheels
The rims I have are unbranded so I dont know what sort of price they would of be new,
Theres some cheap xr sprockets on ebay at the moment I got a 38t for £10 delivered but they use 8mm bolts not 10mm that the crms do so I made some sleves to go inside the hub to space them down, You can get a peice of 10mm alloy pipe from a DIY store for a couple of quid
I was speaking to this guy on ebay about getting the rims..
http://cgi3.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... o_supplies
He was doing some built wheels but I cant remember what price they were
Make sure the rims you get are not to wide for the bike the biggest tyres you can fit are 120 and 150 (front and rear)
Iv got 100 and 130 the rim widths are 2.75 and 3.5
That way I didnt have to cut the chain guard lug of the inside of the swinging arm
