It's attached to the fork damper rod, you gotta pull down the spring, you'll then see the top damper nut, a doins with 2 flat sides, put a spanner on there whilst turning the top fork nut

How you gonna top it up though? It's not quite as simple as pouring oil in cos you don't know how much is in to start with, it's better to take them totally off really, drain all the old oil and start again. You'll know you've got equal amounts in then

You can use a piece of wire of a known length to get the fork oil height.

Thanks guys,
I watched the you tube clip but thought I could get away with just topping them up before doing the whole strip down. So for now I'll take them off, drain them & refill. I'm looking for a harder feel as I have 17" motard wheels & use the bike mainly on the road.

With regards to being the only girl - There have been a couple over the last few years but no regulars at the moment.
