Oil leak!! help!

Post by ben1wylie » 28 Nov 2010, 07:41

My bike is leaking a lot of oil and it seems to be coming from a rubber grommet that injects the oil to the petrol.... has 2 wirer's coming out of it ... is there an easy fix for this?
Would appreciate all help ...

I'm presuming you mean hose's and not wires? not quite understanding - you have a hose that comes from the oil pump to the carb inlet are you saying that its leaking at the carb? if so then there is one of those small 'spring' metal clips that keep the hose on at the inlet barb. could be that your hose is old and getting brittle and the clip can cut into the hose. check the condition of the hose and if its ok just cut a cm of hose off and reattched to the barb with the clip.

Sounds like the plug which is your oil position sensor (I think) as you said. Not sure how to fix, other than to take apart, empty an clean, check the condition of the seal/s - you may find you need to contact Leisure Trail if something needs replacing.
