CHINESE CDI UNITS

Well went out on sat to be honest it starts better with the Chinese unit than my Honda one to date first kick every time took it out for a hour on the back roads .picks up well on pipe she is prefect so far I can't tell any different between the Honda unit apart from starting.it is still early days

The longevity of the units is a much more tricky question to answer, and of course will be uppermost in any prospective bike buyers mind when seeing a unit such as this fitted. Will these units have the resilience to stay the course? Only time will tell.

The units may even prove more long lasting than the Japanese ones - or they may be rubbish

CDIs/ECUs quality is depended on the electronic components quality and circuit design. It is also a challenge to work for an old motorcycle. You know, there may be some problems existed in the bike, which will effect the new CDI on its working performance. The longevity is very important. We are always on the way to make CDIs/ECUs better.

Kindly reminder:
All CRM250R MD24/ CRM250AR MD32 Owners Must Understand the Knowledge about your CRMs and CDIs/ECUs. Do these checking before you replace a new CDI.

1, regulator/rectifier problems---Over high voltage of the regulator/rectifier may damage/ burn out the CDI/ECU. Please do check your Reg/Rec to avoid further damages.
2, servo motor problems--- Check the exhaust valve servo motor , inside there, if gears, sensor, cable goes wrong, it may cause CDI exhaust valve control section burnt directly. Then your bike cannot start. (Exhaust Valve is commonly known as RC Valves on Honda bikes)
3, idle speed control valve problems---Idle speed control valve problems can also make the bike hard to start.
4, headlight controller problems---Headlight controller problems can also cause the bike not to start.
5, side ladder switch problems--- Side ladder switch problems can also lead to the bike not to work.

The AR and Mk2 ECUs from Lixianda have arrived. I'm afraid I haven't worked out as system for sending out and returning for testing as I've been snowed under for various reasons. I hope to have a system up and running by the middle of next week and certainly by the end of the month.

So when you say ecu are you referring to the PGM ?

Do you have contact details for the manufacturer of the components ?

Yes and no if you mean the electronic components that are used to make up the ECU/PGM.

looks like my repaired chip has wore out people still tho 3 years solid use (abuse) out of it not bad at all easier starting and more power mmmmmm

trying my mates pgm tomorrow to confirm if i got a poorly slag lol
