Hi there

Post by Unrealedd » 08 Sep 2021, 17:04

Just thought I’d say hi. This forum looks invaluable as a source of information.
I’m a car mechanic by trade for over 35 years for my sins. Have a wonderful fiancée who has tasked me with restoring a bike.
Anyhow long story short we are now the proud owners of Bert! A rather battered Andy worn out Crm250 mk2
Will be hanging around looking for parts and information.
Currently racking up a large bill with leisure trail.

Will let you know when things start but collecting lots of parts atm.
Anyhow have a great evening folks as I’m off for a beer!

All the best from Eric n Em

Hi,

Welcome to the forum. I think the mk2s look the best. Good luck with the rebuild.

Nice to see a little flurry of new members recently.

Thanks for the welcome guys. Yes I’m looking forward to starting the build, just need to acquire the main parts then will be off and running.
Will add pictures when I’ve figured it out as bit of a technophobe with this stuff.
Won’t be a concourse rebuild but hopefully he will look stunning when finished.
Hope he can stay running for many more years as that’s my aim. He’s a keeper I’m sure and a wonderful addition to the fleet.

Oh if anyone has the auto lube pipes for a Mk2 I would be very great full. Specifically need the connector to the frame with the filter as mine is disconnected and running premix which is fine for me but not my other half. She won’t do the pre mix thing.

Thank you I completely understand what you are saying regarding oil resistant pipe.
The part I require is from the lower part of the in tank frame which contains a filter and reduces down to fit the pipe to.
Going to take some finding.
If not will just have to make one.
Think the Mk2 will always be 2nd best, would love to see pictures of your bike but sadly a lot of the pictures from this site are no longer showing.
Trying to find a free platform to enable my pictures to show.
Used to use photo bucket but that no longer works for free.
Can you tell I’m a tight arse 😉

Basically it's a connector to the frame with filter and reducer so that a thinner pipe can go to the oil pump. Nothing that needs to be CRM or Honda specific. I'm sure you can make one up as you say. They are not things that come up often as generally they don't wear out and they get thrown away as no one wants them.

Is this the part you are looking for? CMS are a little expensive now since brexit, so its probable worth running the part number off there site with some UK suppliers.

One bearing you will not be able too get is the outer clutch bearing but there is a solution

Rmz 450 2010 onwards with a 1mm titanium spacer behind the clutch basket
