So, as a random long term visitor and occasional contributor to this forum, I've finally decided that I WILL get my MK2 rebuilt...taken apart about 6 years ago after the bottom end started to grumble, I've decided not to sell it as bits. My youngest son has found the delights of off road riding, including LDT , so the CRM has a purpose! Ok, maybe it's mainly to show him that his chunky, bald dad can still hustle a little bit. I might even post a few pics as I progress.
Somewhere in the shed is the new balance shaft, piston and gasket set. . probably mouse bedding by now ..

Good luck with that one. I remember trying to boss it at the local Mx track, when I thought I was fast a child of around 12 cleared the table top over my head.
Anyway enjoy the build and keep us posted.

Well, the crank is with leisuretrail for rod and the frame is at the blasters ...found the piston, so my good mate is boring the barrel and awaiting crank for reassembly!

Cool awaiting pics. Once you have mastered the pix thing could you give a heads up of how to do it.
Staring my fiancées Mk2 rebuild over the winter months.
Still trying to source a few parts but have plenty to keep me busy.
