Your right Chris....the plastics did used to be white and they've been sprayed black.
When i first got the bike the plastics were a bit rough looking, and alot of the graphics were coming off or missing!
As i didn't want to lash out loads of wedge on a new set of plastics the cheaper option was to spray.
Not sure what type of paint was used? as im lucky enough to have got them done thru my work by a 'professional' sprayer.
It's actually the 2nd attemp at a spray job........1st try wasn't to successfull :( as it didn't last long and didn't take too kindly to my jet washer!

I was told by the sprayer that painting plastic is becoming more common and the 'trade' paints used now are far better than a few years ago. The secret is to use the CORRECT plastic primer as there are so many different types of primers that suit different types of plastics..... so if you get a can of 'Halfords Plastic Primer' it doesn't mean its gonna work!

Will keep you updated as to how this spray job stands up....so far so good :)

Steve.
