Dented Exhaust
Dented Exhaust
I have a few dents in my DEP Sport exhaust pipe.
Is there some kind of exhaust guard that i can put on it to hide the dents?
Or is there a better way round the problem other than buying a new pipe?

I've never seen it done, just read about it. Maybe they use some kind of high temp rubber cork in each end with a clamp as well. Of course one of the corks would need a tube in it to provide the compressed air.
Here's a link that says, \"Don't try this your self,\" but there are some other good tips on aligning your pipe and taking the carbon out of the inlet.

You can get exhaust 'blow out kits' for this (try racespec, offroad only and the like) - or you may find your local MX shop will do it for a few quid. I'm not sure you can do the standard pipes as they have all the crud in as above, but DEPs and the like should be OK.
I have done mine with a home-made kit (the part of an inner tube with the valve on, clamped over the engine end with a piece of plywood bolted through the mounting holes. Other end plugged with a rubber cork, with a bolt through it so that it expands when the bolt is tightened). The dent has not gone completely.
Any such procedure is potenially risky - if the whole pipe blew/split then who know what would happen to you....
Cheers

Exhaust repair
You can drill tiny holes and grip a screw with the moles ,heat and pull the dent out. Then mig the holes up. then tidy welds with ginder. well it sounds like it should work, thats what welder at work told me.
