I think i've sorted it......

Everytime i've been checking my carb, there's been crap in the jets. I'd clean it up, but because i was warming bike up in garden, the time i came to test it in the street then jets were blocked again, I was thinking that it was something else as the problem was still there when i'd cleaned them, i bought an inline filter for it, but it was a bit on the big side as it was all i could get hold of. It was restricting the fuel flow so i had to take it off.

Bought a proper one off ebay which came 2 days ago. Put it on this morning, ripped it up the street, pulled right through the gears. Only gave it 5 mins, so i'm gonna take it to the fields now before it gets dark, fingers crossed.

It's pretty much standard, with 13f 45r sprocket, didnt really come up off the throttle, however i'm not sure if they do, so we'll see how she performs.

try taking the cables off the powervalve and moving it by hand with the engine off, it should move smoothly, but it can gum up after a while especially with fully sinthetic oil. not much of a problem if this is it.

tried that, moves freely enough mate. Went to take it out afterwards, bike cut out and gave a massive back fire, kept doing it after that so never got to ride it again.

Just ordered a carb repair kit. Gonna rebuild carb properly. Reckon my tank has got rust in it and fine particles are getting past the filters to, so gonna do somthing with that. Then, if all else fails, i'm gonna pay someone to look at it. My blood pressures getting to high.

Sounds like you may have found the problem

You used to be able to get a \"Rust Eater\" that you could put straight into the fuel tank and that would dissolve all the rust. Im not sure the normal high street suplliers would be able to help, I think would have more luck with a classic car/bike type garage.

The other way is to leave a bit of fuel in the tank and add some stones or nuts and bolts, put the cap back on and shake it around and then flush.

My other piece of advice which you know already is to start from the the top and work down.

take the cover off your powervalve servo under the tank and check that the small allen grub screw hasn't loosened off and is rubbing on the inside of the casing. stops the p/valve openingright up, good luck

cheers for advice. Haven't been able to work on my bike for a bit as i've been working every weekend. Ii'll check that grub screw. I never noticed anything before, but it's worth a look.

That petrol thing is what i was told about. He said i might struggle to find it. If i can't get it off the shelf, then he knows someone who can get it. Gonna have to do it anyway else i'm just wasting my time on everything else. I'm almost certain it's fueling problems. Although i'm not sure why it backfired. Usually that's from to much fuel. Gonna check float height again as i adjusted.

Hopefully i'll get a look this weekend. Then i might get to ride the bloody thing
