eeeeeh cyber fights lol, if the crm feels to easy for you but you want to keep it then when you do your refreshing just upgrade the new parts to enhance performance and kill 2 birds with one stone

Oooooooh touchy i was just asking if you are a more capable rider than the bike performance, twisted understood, if this is the case im sure its time to upgrade but dont try the R1 off road lol

are you riding the crm flat out everywhere overtaking everything in sight and never getting stuck every time you go out ?

The CRM is a hell of a trail bike.
My advice is to keep it in top mechanical condition. Ride the arse off it but remember that shiny new bike syndrome will get you one day.
It is no surprise that the suspension is better on the latest enduro bikes than it is on a 16+ year old trail bike but not everything is better. The CRM is still capable of embarrassing some of the latest tackle in the tight stuff.
118118 moved from the CRM to a new CRF 250. Initially he was luke warm having expected the CRF to be much better but found it was better but not by as much as he suspected.
My experience with a Husaberg is similar. Better yes but not at everything.;

Big Garage clean out today, well more rearange everything, R1 moved to the back can`t see that being used for a while, but now got plenty of space to start on the CRM, it will be time that decides how far I get, defo lift the head and barrel and get the shock done and swinging arm bearings!!

I keep thinking that Eddie but the R1 looks and goes so well I can`t bring myself to sell it! got a trip abroad next year, if that does not happen the R1 might go then.
Mates going to strip the forks anf rebuild, gonna change the bushes and seals, do you reckon just lower viscosity oil and a rebuild on the standard forks?

You are a lot lighter than me so I think 5wt oil would be a good start. The advice given by a top enduro rider was to fit a cable tie around the fork to measure how much travel you use on a ride. In his opinion at least 90% of the travel should be used or the forks are too hard. Obviously if you are bottoming out then they are too soft.The CRM only has 4 compression settings and no rebound settings for the forks so an ideal setting is probably impossible but I'm sure that it will get it near enough to have fun.
Winter can be a great time for trail riding so don't strip it down too much and miss all the fun.

Yep last year was the snow ride I missed out on, be up for that this year with the nice warm car and the trailer!!!!
