The probability is that it will fit if all the parts are genuine CRM/XR or even the right CR. But can't guarantee as its been botched to get it in the position it is.

Gonna get a proper bracket for definate, and then go from there to sort the caliper

Does anyone have a spare brake setup ( caliper, reservior etc ) that they would sell? Im gonna get the proper talon bracket and then fit another caliper on as I reckon theres something wrong with my caliper or master cylinder. Let me know as soon as u can because I have 7 working days left to rebook the mot

Thanks for that voodoo, I found a crm 250 thats breaking online and hes gonna post me the caliper and whole assembly for £35.
I have taken my caliper off its crappy mount, and it has a talon bracket on it but it is a TB16 bracket, which seems to fit the caliper I have right. So im guessing the caliper I have at the moment is not a CRM one. Heres a picture of it so you can clearly see the bracket ( please ignore the hole near the N of Talon, as obviously that shouldn't be there )

well, I've got another caliper, master cylinder, lever etc and also the proper Talon bracket ( TB 06 ) all fitted. And the brake is still spongey.
Can the disc really make any difference?

Are you still using the original hose 
. Stainless Steel hoses make a big difference. Especially considering the original is almost 20 years old.

, well I can't think of anything else that would preclude a good brake now.Was the lever changed?
I know, on my MK3, when it arrived with me the front brake was dreadful, [Spongy], after much twiddling, and bleeding, I replaced the lever and she's been fine since.
