OOOOOOOh how good did that red hot bath feel when i got home! yep every thing is aching! been walking funny all day today , the inside leg area has siezed up from hanging the foot out round all those dicey corners, plus a few violent "panic dabs" the kind that nearly dislocate your hip! but what an absolutely cracking weekend :!: great to see every one there and to catch up a bit. If theres ever going to be a CRM fest its got to be at one of these rallys. Im currently trying to get some video from the helmetcam sorted but it took a bit of a tw***ing by a low flying fur tree at some point and im having trouble getting it to download all in one go. ill keep trying though. sorry to hear you got hurt chris, hope its nothing too bad! and well done to mrs monroe shes got guts! it was a tough course :!: now all that remains is to wait for a laugh at the times!.......................warp factor nil mr sulu!

rene,i started riding off road again in feb this year after 18 years of being no where near a patch of mud :o .rallies are only as competitve as you want to make em as you race the clock rather than other riders.i did my first, the red kite rally at easter and had a real good larf, met gwyn there after speaking to him on here(and it was his fault we did it any way),met davey m and mrs m,mike aka abigsupermoto. macey and mickstoy had travelled down there with me and we had a cracking day.
if you've never raced before, theyre a brilliant intro into off roading and i'm sure if you enter some next year there will be some of us forumites to meet up and enjoy the day with.start with the red kite, its the easier of the 3 that i've done so far and then go from there,i'm sure gwyn will post up some info about it when the regs are available

As Slider has said Rene, Rally's are a great introduction to competing off road and not to seriouse, and good fun. Here is is a list of the Rally's in Wales that have, or will be run this year, to give you an idea of what time of the year they will be run next year.....................

Red Kite.............8th April
Tarrennig...........6th May
Hafren...............7th October
Cambrian..........20th & 21st October, 2 day.

If you pm me your e-mail, i will send you some Reg's of this years events, to give you an idea of eligability etc :)

Slider and rooster, you guys rode the full course and I have a question. On your final lap, did you do all of the tests, or was it a cut down version (if you know what i mean) :?:

Most of us on here who did the Red Kite were first timers, I was and I enjoyed every minute of it......very good intro into enduro type events and loads of willing helpers should you get stuck, if you can/enjoy riding green lanes it should be no problem for you (though you will go home a bit tired  )

And I am deffo doing the Red Kite next year and I am sure Slider,Macey,Davey,Rooster etc will be there too, so come along and enjoy it
