Having a few prob`s with my carb float height. 4 some reason it keep`s going astray. it happened once whilst out on a night ride, so bad i had to be picked up in a van. And then again this morning, although i had an idea what was happening this time and was able to keep it from flooding long enough to ride home. I`m assumming that it`s only happening because of rough terrain. I`m thinking of a carb rebuild kit. has any one any thoughts or theories? any one done a carb rebuild?

Yep....a service kit is easy to install, but most kits are O rings and gaskets only. Sounds like it needs a float needle valve and a good clean. Possibly flush the tank out while you are at it ??.

Bang a clear inline filter between the tap and carb, to try and remove most of the crud before it enters the carb and causes the float to stick again
