Got my mk2,2 and the lights stay on which the previous owner asures me is the norm;the switch is crap so I was gonna get an new one..but before I do I decided to ask you lot if I can rewire the lights to turn off via switch gear??or should I just put up with it

Yes you can install a switch to be able to turn lights on/off. Not difficult just install in the circuit and it acts as a circuit breaker. Lights on all the time is a \"safety\" thing, although melted the plastic on my original headlight.

CRMR Mines a 2.2 and the lights are always on...for now anyway...you never know when you might \"need\" 'em off.

P.s my lights are always on when I'm on the road to0o0o0o many 'tards driving around.
CRMR yours certainly looks like a 2.2 to me ,the same as mine..bloo usd forks.

Mines got blue anodised forks, no blue rims, lights can be switched on or off, high or low beam with original switch gear. 2t oil in frame. frame no starts MD24. 99% sure it's a mk2.
