• Speedo drive has anyone got a spare??

I need the drive (thingy)

which bolts to the wheel that the speedo cable goes into as mine has gone.. anyone on this forum help us out???

go to your honda dealer and ask for an xr400 one. it's the exact same part. i have been there and done that before. isn't this forum great?

i would take the part with you, but my mk2 is the same. i couldn't see the mk3 or the ar being different - i think the wheels are the same too, same brakes, bearings etc. as my crm was an import here i had to sort of work these things out

ducks right, mk1's and 2's have the same chassis parts (wheels brakes etc) as more \"modern\" xr's 250 & 400's. i have checked out a 2002 model xr 400 in a local honda dealer and confirmed this myself. they have exactly the same drive cable and speedo!!
