aerial map riding locations

Post by wadawad »

Thought it would be an idea to start a list using microsoft virtual earth to find and mark your riding spots i've saved two locations if you care to add yours you can, would someone be kind as to mark out were the desert is cheers. once its loaded you can click aerial and it shows you sat' image if you select collections, and then open it should bring up a 'scratch pad'. underneath which it should say 'unsaved selection', click this and swop it to 'offroad bike spots' and you should be able to add your own?? any problems let us know. heres the link anyhow cheers.....

The Desert

Mid point between Mansfield and Blidworth on the old Eakring road, follow the road from Mansfield signed for Golf Club on Eakring Rd, carry on the dirt and three foot deep puddles until you reach the sand area between the two railway bridges, midway in the forest ( Don't even think of riding in the woods, Forestry commission Gestapo ! )
Note, the police are always kicking off anyone seen riding down here, not heard of any bikes being confiscated for a while though !.
