Xenon Lights

Hi all,
has anyone experimented with Xenon lights on these bikes? From what I've read you need an igniter for this type of lighting that uses a large amount of current to form an arc through the globe, which is where I'm stuck wondering whether or not the CRM coil would produce enough power to ignite a set without killing all power to the bike - or nuking the CDI and such.
any information to whether or not this would be possible would be appreciated, and if not could someone recomend a brighter replacement bulb for the stock one? Mine just blew and i thought i might as well upgrade (1999 AR model).
Thanks,
Julian

Hi, yes the xenon bulbs use a lot of current but that is produced by the pack that powers it. The crm shoul produce enough power and dont worry about burning out the cdi, as long as your Reg/Rec is ok there is no chance of damage no matter how many or how few lights you have on. Jon

would anyone happen to have what model bulbs i'd need handy ie h2,3,4 etc.?
what do you mean about the headlight melting? from what i see they're just brighter, not hotter.

When I bought my bike, the lens on the headlight was melted in the middle, making it opaque(good word). The man in LT told me it was due to puting in a more powerful than standard bulb in. So bought new headlight with standard bulb, and voila(french) nice \"bright\" light.

In all seriousness though, check out the bulb rating maybe, as more power normally means more heat with light bulbs.

Regards :D :D :D :D
