Has anyone here attempted to make these?

I'm in the process of ordering bits..

It seems anything wider than a 10mm threaded spacer bar will not fit
due to the protruding suspension arm bolt (or whatever it is).

So I was wondering if M8 thread Rose joints will be ok as this
is probably the highest I can go as once they are screwed into the spacer bar it will measure around 13mm wide.

what did other people use?

i think bargos sent me a picture about a year ago,they work a treat, the only prob is if you want to lower your bike you need to lengthen the bone but if you go to far because it rubs on the other links.you only need to change 5mm to get about 1" of difference.standard length is 9or 10 but i changed it to 8 or 9 ,10mm shorter and got 2" more height.4x 10mm rose joints 2 shoulderd 10mm bolts plus 2more to cut down as the joiner plus 4 washers and two nuts ,one year later and mines still fine.

I'm struggling to picture how you set it up.

My initial order was for 10 mm rose joints but I told them
to hangfire because I wasent sure they would fit so
thats great news.

It's just the linking bit in the centere that I'm struggling to picture mentally.
the way I picture your description is your using 2 'female' rose joints with
two bolts both welded together for the adjustable middle section.
am I close? or should I stop drinking now...

couldn't you use 2 appropriate lengths of threaded bar slasher?

well I have just spent 2 days rininging around trying to get hold of a
2" long 10mm threaded Stainless steel hexbar for this and I have
had no joy whatsoever.

desperatly need suggestions.

just use a bolt and cut it to the right length[just the threaded bit]helpfull tip screw a nut over the cut section to help recut any rough thread.a 10mm bolt can hold 2 ton so 2 of them is more than enough.dont worry about the rose joints twisting they will only move a few degrees witch does not make any difference.I originally got male rose joints and joined them with threaded rod joiners 3times the length of a normal nut but was worried about there stength.tools needed - hacksaw, tape measure vice andspanners for nuts.if it takes you longer than 30 mins to make your trying too hard. if your confused pm [private message me your mobile and I'll ring to explain ] dont know how to send pictures sorry but bargos did send me one.

I've seen a nice threaded turnbuckle I could use, if they are in stock.
