My (smaller) coolant hose has pretty much had it.
anyone know of a good replacement? or if standard silicone hose will be OK?
also am I right in thinking it's 4mm (outside diameter)?
seen some silicone and nylon 4mm hose on ebay but not sure
if the coolant will rot it.

hi.
I bought some silicone hoses for my cbr engine coolant, it should be fine with coolant, but not many silicone suppliers recommend it for use with fuels (petrol, etc).
I found silicone quite expensive for what you get and it likes to kink if you try to take it round a sharp ish corner. What i did was find an old spring and put that round the hose where the bend was, helped reduce the kink.
Hope that helps a little.

I've got some part numbers for hoses, but it looks like only the mk1 ( rk ) has a hose as small as that honda list it as 3.5 x 370 part no 19128-kae-000 . I think 3.5 is the ID which would be about right. It may save messing around just to fit genuine.
