Has anyone found a good source for this little basket.
All the ones I have found so far are too thick. Even when I stretch one that is too small onto the mixture screw the thickness still means it does not fit in the carb properly.
I suspect that this is causing the bike to run badly at small throttle opening when not under load.
LT told me that it could be picked up anywhere and I have even rang a Honda dealer who says it is not availanble seperate and must be bought as part of a carb kit. £15 for a poxy o-ring is just too much

I actually used the o-ring from the inside of an anodised tyre/tube dust cap Real bodge i know, but it works

Bodge? I'd call that some clever improvisation mate!!!

Maplin are selling a really cheap O ring kit at the moment
It's not on their website but from memory is something like this.

What size is it? (Internal dia x section dia)

the maplin kit does not have the one needed in it(i have one) tis always the way having all the ones you DONT need

It's the section diameter that is the problem.
The 3mm ID will stretch to fit but 1.5 section makes it too thick to be a good fit in the carb.
So ID must be 3 or 4 mm and the section 1.0 mm.

That lists all the standard O-ring sizes, and nothing like your requirements is there.

Closest is BS607.
