AR Forks

The forks on my AR have started to corrode badly and i am losing the gold annodising off them, has anyone got any ideas where i could get them sorted?

hi m8

mine did the same thing LT only optoin was to cover it up with carbon covers,
you can buy new fork tubes tho for around 100£
mine was very bad big chunks coming out.

Well, in principle you could get them polished and re-anodised by any metal finishing place which does anodising. They would have to chemically strip the old anodising off, polish then re-anodise.

It might cost less than you think, but you would need to ensure that the parts were perfectly clean and that any holes into the inside, and any threads, were plugged and completely water tight. That part would cost a whole lot more than you might expect.

I would guess at around £20 for the actual anodising. (We used to have pretty much everything we made at a previous employers anodised)

That's what i was thinking, i will have to make a few enquiries i suppose to see if it's worth it.
