Just bought a mk2 as a winter bike n love it. Having to do some work for the mot and will post a couple of tips i worked out when doing rear wheel bearings.

hope you enjoy her, i used mine though winter last year did a stella job, one thing id recomend dont commute on nobbly tyres it kills them!

Yeah the knobblies are sketchy on the road too. Had a few road bikes but this is my first foray into the off road world. Wanted something i could learn some home maintenance and have a bit of fun on (and fall off) without too much fear of cars/drains/mud/expensive repairs/lack of ability etc etc. Got a Daytona 675 for the sunny days. This bikes a hoot though! Mines been geared down with a 50t rear which is a bit much for my liking, so i might put it back to stock soon.

Try the gearing at 13/45. I find it a good compromise for on/offroad :)
