:D This was an event Jonorow, and i took part in a while back, we were in different teams.
I offered [FOOLISHLY] to lead a, laid back, sight seeing, type group around.
Unfortunately, within 30mins, half of my casual s had been wiped out on a particularly, slippery, and rutted track .
One for hospital, and his mate who was his transport home.
To say we were well loaded is an understatement,[see photo] more like removers, than manoeuvres :D
once again the little, light, two stroke, Trail bike, managed to hold it,s own , and punch well above it,s weight on the faster going.
My team were thoroughly trounced by Jonorows , more , focused team.
We did enjoy ourselves though, and the fully self supported 2 day ride around Salisbury plains was a formula i had never tried before, that,s ,food, water, tent, bedding, spare clothes, bike spares, ect ect.
I would do this event again, and have a bit more knowledge of what was required next time.

well i wouldn't say trounced, but we did drop a place on the sunday, partly down to our map reader breaking down, which left me navigating (which i realised has got worse)
Had a great time tho and will definately do it again, but i think three in a team is too many, unless you want to move tackicaly(Cheat)
I post some pics of my basha once they've uploaded.
Mike you going on the christmas wander? might be tempted.....

:D Hi Steve
A brief description of the this type of event would be, it,s like orienteering on Motorcycles, so some map reading,to specific points, and then picking up information particular to that location, type of gate, sort of tree, ect.
It,s more about thinking and planning, than all out riding, some items are worth 100 points and others just 20, so, you work out your own route.
Big BBQ on the Sat evening at the camp site, a cooking and mechanical test on the Sunday morning[ early] Army ;) , and then off and away for a few more hours.
This was i think the first year it's been opened up to civvies, and they were taken aback by the interest in the event, but a CRM team should be a viable Team.
