I've just install some acerbis rally pro hand gruards on my CRM250AR and noticed that the throttle tube is quite short, only goes up about 2/3 of the actual grip.

Is this normal?

Ive cut the grip back to the end of the tube, so i can fit the hand guards, but the problem is i only have a small area to grip the throttle, just enough to fit my hand.

So just wondering if its suspose to be like this, or myabe the last owner changed it?

Almost certainly, the previous owner has cut that down for their own pecuniary reasons, yep, they dropped it on that side.
That,s a push /pull throttle on the A/R s . so you will probably only get a , frightfully expensive original for it.
Have the bars been correspondingly cut down as well.May be worth checking you still have enough bar ends left to accept a full length, throttle tube.

I dont think they where cut, as it had an end on the throttle tube to stop it going so far back. Not sure if the handle bars have been cut but ill be getting a new set to replace them anyway.
