I've just rebuilt the front end on my mk3 new fork seals 'fork oil 'replaced the bushes in the forks new front wheel bearing's and new front brake pads. I did the pads and bearings but the bike store rebuilt the forks.
before the forks where rebuilt there was a bit of play in them and one of the seals was stuffed but they wern't noisy now that they've been rebuilt you can hear the spring's rubbing inside the forks and they also sag I know this because I had great trouble getting the piece of timber in I use when tying my bike down what was once a one man job is now two. has anyone else had this problem with noisy spring's and saggy forks after a rebuild ?

ive heard the noise you mentioned before after a fork rebuild on a cbr600, after a test run the springs centralised themselves and the noise disapeared, worth a try before you pull them appart.

thanks for the tip karl I took the bike for a ride sunday but it didn,t rectify the problem if anything they are even noisy'er thanks anyway

Take them back to the shop that fitted them. either that or give Leisuretrail in the UK a buzz and see what they say.

My thinking exactly Bargos I have already spoken to the bike store and they are going to pull them apart and have another look and I just finished emailing LT for some freindly advise just have to wait and see what they say.

I'm pleased to inform you that my forks where assembled incorrectly ,the young apprentice at the bike store had put a part in upside down which was causing the sagging and all the noise, they've been fixed and I took the bike for a long hard ride on saturday and the forks where fine which is more than I can say for the front brake lever and master cylinder I broke the whole bloody lot farrrrrrrrrrrk !!!!!

hey paul, i reckon that apprentice needed beating over the head with the forks. that sort of sh#t should'nt happen. ya pay good money for someone who should know what they are doin' & this is what ya get. glad ta hear they're alright now.
