picking my crm up on monday its a mk 2

i live on the edge of the peak district so you can see y ive bought a trail bike

quite a while since ive been off road , several years moto x racing too old n unfit for that now lol

so if you see a blue crm on its side with a 40 something bloke under it it could be me

Welcome to Forum, but have a good check out of any former lanes you used to use as a lot has altered in Greenlaning in the last few years.
Best to join the TRF, they will know all the LEGAL routes.

try not to go on your own, just in case some thing happens,
ask the lads on here if any one lives by you, maybe they might meet up with you and show you some lanes by you,

best to use a trailer or van to get to the off roading sites, then if you break some thing on the bike or get a puncture you can get home, also its good for getting changed after getting dirty and for carrying fuel and drinks / food / dry clothes ect also a tool box is handy for fixes to get back out on the lanes if you limp back to the van / car after 20 mins of being away fron the carpark and some things not right with the bike,

get a enduro bag on the rear fender , handy for zip ties/ tape /small tools / spark plug / ect i use one of these only cheep , all you have to do is cut out base to go in the bottom of the bag ( plastic / wooden bourd / tin plate ect ) then drill 4 little holes through the base/bag/fender, these not to big and fit on nice, take a look :

Welcome to forum, you won't regret buying a CRM for trail riding easily the best by far.

The advise about not riding on your own is bang-on, I was with a group and came off doing no more than 10mph....broke my tib and fib and got a ride in the Yorkshire Air Ambulance for my troubles....had I been on my own...God knows what might have happened.

So with that advise get some good gear, boots, armour, knee pads (or braces if you can afford them) helmet and goggles. As for waterproofs, I use army camo goretex, very cheap, waterproof and breathable.

If you ever fancy a run around the (Yorkshire) Dales, I'm your man.

Enjoy the CRM....I love mine and wish I'd bought one 15 years ago.

the peaks are a great area to ride I live only 10 mins away from them I have a mk3 if you fancy a ride sum time just reply back.

Welcome Bob a few ov us do the Marple/Chinley and usually end up at the Woodbine Cafe in Hope on Sunday's for a brew and a chat. Where roughly are u from?

Im from the matlock end of the peaks but I have ridden a few lanes around hope before and there some of the best Iv found I might be free soon but it depends because I chucked ma crm down the road on wednesday and need a new back end so hopefully that will b here by friday.
