I am a new crm owner hoping that my little bike will help me find a way back from a spinal injury - if anyone has found and gentle places to ride in buckinghamshire, perhaps you would let me know where ...?
Cheers,
Troy L. D.

Welcome TLD, how long ago was your mishap?
You might want to run this form of physiotherapy past your quack before venturing to far of tarmacked roads.
I don't know Bucks all that well, but your not that far from Swindon's nest of Byways.
I would recommend joining the
http://www.trf.org.uk/, as the situation in regards to legal lanes is always in flux, and certainly in that area.
Good Luck
Mike

Not been funny TLD but £40 to find a few green lanes / byways in your local area seems abit steep compared to an OS map

thanks for your responses. they reminded me to look up an old mate of mine in Swindon, who it turns out is now the TRF acting president (although I am sure that is not actually his title) - anyway, he has agreed to take me around some trails when things get a bit, er, drier...!
My operation was on the 10th November, it took them 8 hrs to fish out the broken bits and fit some new titanium - I started cycling again three weeks ago, and other than being pretty short of breath (something to do with the collapsed lung) I am ready to go riding, but no Brit Champs or farleigh castle this year....
cheers,
TLD

OS Maps, absolve themselves of all responsibility in regards to the accurateness of their product

, citing it's the users responsibility to ensure that the marked ROW is actually a legal ROW

.see small print at the bottom of any OS map.
Now I know for a fact that they have marked up several reclassified RUPPs, incorrectly as Byways, when in fact they are a restricted Byway, which means their open to all users,EXCEPT, MPVs,
Standing in front of the beak with your inaccurately PRINTED map will not be a defence, and watching your precious CRM,disappear into the jaws of the crusher, will bring more of a tear to your eye than the £40 of a TRF membership, IMO.
All their money goes on the defence of Byways, and should you be challenged, wrongly, they will advise and assist in your defence, often knowing more about ROW issues, than the legal eagles employed by others.
