Hi I'm interested in giving my petrol tank a once over, is R-134 Honda red paint the correct original colour? Does anyone have any tips to make it look proffesional?

By the time you have cleaned back to bare metal and paid for decent primer and the correct Honda R134 you could have paid to have it powdercoated twice. The finish is down to your preparation, your skill as a paint applier and the conditions you spray in. It's also always liable to a bit of washout if you keep splashing petrol on the paint.

Just go to reputable powdercoating company and make the correct choice of colour (won't necessary be listed as Honda R134). I use Redditch Shotblasting.

Im having my frame powder coated as we speak in Pitsford near Northampton, if they do a good job I will get them to colour match to the Honda red and get that done as well.

Stu if your going to have a new decal set (from D&G)i hope you ordered them last year ....bout May time ,he is very slow and although the quality is good ,there are too mant D&G logos all over it and his idea of time doesnt tally up with mine i can email a piccy of mine if you want to see ,£100 for full set

Yes i'm tempted with a graphics set so pictures would be good. I think my panels are beyond cleaning up now.

Well got the tank filled and painted in Honda red for only £40, bargain!!!
