Somewhere on the net i have seen a crm250 with cagiva mito wheels fitted, which i liked but how hard was it to convert?

Due to a low budget whats the easyest way to SM the CRM?

Have a look through - viewforum.php?f=20

Has a lot of answers to a lot of questions and well worth a read anyway ;) .

personally i wouldn't bother mate as by the time you've paid for the wheel's , spacers & inc front caliper spacer the tyre's will cost you for anything decent ( not those goldspeed rubbish )
but then it's personal choice & they do look good .
i used to ride on Avon Gripsters & they were pretty good for the standard wheels but i think they've stopped making them now !
good luck either way :)

Don't worry about it mate they do get a bit touchy from time to time because they get asked the same Q's over & over again , they're a good bunch & too be honest if you dont mind trawling the forum & reading some of the compatibility threads a couple of time's you can usualy work things out but it can get a bit confusing , hope you find what your looking for & good luck with the new bike :)

I had a new Honda XR SM converted a few years ago, and one of the first things I recommend is having the fork springs upgraded.

The front forks will dive so much on hard braking ( which you will do plenty of) that the forks are nearly fully compressed when stopping, especially quick stopping.

Gets expensive.

I would just use it as it was intended, or buy a SM, just stay away from the XT660SM mine was rubbish.
