Thanks for the welcome back, nearly went for a wr250 yam and saw the mk3 on eBay, needs the swing arm bearings sorting ( hope the swing arm bolt has been greased in the last 18 years), and little bits here and there, but seems ok, not been used in anger yet, so time will tell

Nice to see you back.
Good luck with the swinging arm pin they can be as solid as if they are welded.
Fallenmikethe bike had a good idea of drilling a hole through the back of the engine casing where the pin passes through and filling it with penetrating oil.
This is where mine was stuck having corroded in the center between the two steel bushes pressed in the casing.
If you have a go and find it solid then before doing anything drastic get in touch as I know a man near Ellesmere port who has had good success with some hydraulic pullers.

An air ratchet, and hammering the end with a nut on worked for me, second time had to cut the swingarm off.....2 hours.

Yea, plenty of info on the best way to budge the little blighter. If it is reticent, try and get it moving in and out in small increments, without blaying the living daylights out of it. Protect the threads at all cost though, mushroom that over and it will be a complete mare.

Thanks Eddie,
The guy in Ellesmere Port did my last one for me, and I think it may have been you that put me in touch with him
