Weeping oil pump

I have a sneaking suspicion I'm going to become a supporter at this rate!

Right, I noticed some blue 2 stroke oil had weeped a bit just below the oil pump cover so thought I'd better investigate

Anyway. It's not weeping much but I tried to tighten the screws and they are as tight as can be.

Can anyone propose a fix?

I was thinking about this one, maybe it's normal for this to happen?

Just check that its not weeping down the outside of the pipe from the oil tank to the pump.

Go steady on the oil pump bleed screw, you'll strip the thread in a flash if you're not careful.

I've had a chance to have a good look at this today.

It's definitely not weeping down the outside of the pipe from the oil tank to the pump, and it's not leaking out of the oil pump bleed screw either. It's weeping out from between the two plates which are held together by two vertical screws either side of the plate.

I wonder if there's supposed to be some kind of gasket between the two plates? The rest of the oil pump is in quite good condition so would be gutted to find out if this is terminal and the whole oil pump unit needs replacing.

Still weeping so am going to leave the bike with my father to take a look at. I had wondered if a couple of fibre washers might solve it, but I'll see what he says. Whatever the fix eventually works out to be, I'll report back in case someone else experiences the same issue.

Just to say that in the end my dad just tightened everything up and it stopped leaking! No magic involved.
