I bought a fmf shorty silencer off ebay made for a 2001 cr-250. The bends are perfect, just a few mods to make it fit perfect.

It slid in the stock head pipe with only a little play. I had to cut off the rear mount on the silencer(I had plans to weld it back on but this was easier for now)


I made a bracket that I will weld to the subframe. And used a hose clamp to hold a bracket for a spring to hold the pipes.



And with a dab of silicone to seal it we have the finished product.

Any noticable sound/performance difference? I am currently having a silencer issue with mine as well. It gets very hard to source parts, let alone CRM parts, where i am based.
